  • Mathematical Programs with Equilibrium Constraints (2+1, in German, Master): A lecture on a special class of nonlinear optimization problems. We will discuss examples, derive suitable optimality conditions and develop solution algorithms.
  • Master Seminar in Optimization (in German and English, Master): A seminar course on topics from optimization.
  • Bachelor Seminar in Optimization (in German and English, Bachelor): A seminar course on topics from optimization .

  • Nonsmooth Optimization (2+1, in English, Bachelor and Master): A lecture on methods for nonsmooth programs such as a semismooth Newton's method or subgradient and cutting plane methods. Winter Term 2016/17

  • Nonsmooth Analysis (2+1, in German or English, Bachelor and Master): A lecture on important concepts from convex and nonsmooth analysis such as normal cones and generalized derivatives leading to optimality conditions for nonsmooth optimization problems. This course can be used as a basis for a lecture on nonsmooth optimization, where solutions algorithms for programs lacking first or second order differentiability are developed.
