Numerical simulation of Bingham fluids by semismooth Newton methods: a general survey

In this talk we show a new approach to the numerical simulation of Bingham fluids, based on semismooth Newton methods. From pipe flow to thermally convective flow, we present the challenges and the modeling and numerical tools to overcome such issues.
